The Program

Our Story begins on Queensland's sub tropical Gold Coast as we follow Jamie to the safety production team meeting to set up the plans for the episodes challenge. Tension runs high, as Jamie's safety and fears become paramount. Historical events and motivations come into play, emotions float to the surface. Our experts explain the dangers ahead.

You are now on the 'Living in Liquid” journey as Jamie prepares himself physically and mentally. Entering the water, the emotion builds as the challenge begins.  We hang on the outcome, will Jamie succeed, become endangered or worse.

Likes a serious challenge but also has a good laugh along the way. Jamie has recently has great media coverage with a live national appearance on the “Today Program”.

Senior lifeguard and marine survival expert.
Mike conducts rescue courses for elite lifeguards and documents survival scenarios. Jamie sees him as a father figure and he is a big motivator in Jamie's drive to achieve his personal goals as well as in doing his best to complete the challenges.

Marine mammal and free dive expert.
Educates Jamie on the ocean environment as well as helping Jamie through his arduous free diving and underwater training regime.

Mick provides a wealth of knowledge in and around the water, with many years of experience as a professional senior lifeguard. Mick is also a world leading water safety expert for films and events and recently was water stunt manager for the Hollywood release "Where the Wild Things Are".
