The Program

Our Story begins on Queensland's sub tropical Gold Coast as we follow Jamie to the safety production team meeting to set up the plans for the episodes challenge. Tension runs high, as Jamie's safety and fears become paramount. Historical events and motivations come into play, emotions float to the surface. Our experts explain the dangers ahead.

You are now on the 'Living in Liquid” journey as Jamie prepares himself physically and mentally. Entering the water, the emotion builds as the challenge begins.  We hang on the outcome, will Jamie succeed, become endangered or worse.

The Challenges

Living in Liquid - Television series, 10-part

The Challenges are all aimed increasing Jamie's physical and mental condition and include;

Surviving at sea for 24 hours.

Floating out to sea for 1 minute is scary but re-creating floating on a eski, after being washed from a sinking boat for 24 hours is a terrifying world first and the ultimate ocean survival experience. Sharks, hypothermia, dehydration and fear, all factor in to make this challenge an epic.

Board paddling solo across Bass Strait, Australia.

You are paddling alone, its getting dark and you've got still got 200 nautical miles to paddle. Jamie will attempt another world first and traverse one of the worlds toughest stretches of water on nothing but a paddle board.

Free diving to 100 foot.

“Your heart is thumping and your lungs are screaming for oxygen, your 20 foot from the surface and your mind is racing, get to the surface”. We follow Jamie's every breath as fights to get control under the water.

Passing the Navy Seal entrance exam that 98% of entrants fail to complete.

Jamie will be a “fish-out-of-water" as he competes with real tough guys and finds he limits on land in the  Navy Seal entrance course. Held over three grueling days Jamie will learn and do his best to pass the test.

Spending a day with the water patrol in some the world's most intense waves on Hawaii's North Shore.

Tourists can literally get swept from the soft sand and into one of the most worlds moat intense waves – it breaks that close to shore. The North Shore lifeguards literally stop inexperienced surfers and over zealous tourists from paddling out and putting their own life and theirs at serious risk.

With all challenges Jamie takes the viewer along and talks through the fear, emotion, facts, pain and resolution.
